How can I explain iteration using something I already do?

Iteration means doing something again to make it better.
Notice
“Again” does not explain what changes. A specific example could show how noticing affects the next attempt.
Revise
Use a paper airplane: one fold changes, one flight is observed, and one next step is chosen.
Make / test
Iteration is trying, noticing, and adjusting. Imagine folding a paper airplane, flying it, and changing a wing fold after watching the flight. The next version uses something you learned from the previous one. Simply throwing the same plane again is repetition; making a deliberate change gives you something new to compare.
